What is crisis and transitional housing?

Transitional Housing Management (THM) programs assist households in housing crisis to establish or maintain appropriate, secure and sustainable housing through the provision of transitional housing services and housing information and referral.

Crisis accommodation includes women’s refuges, youth refuges and major inner city crisis supported accommodation services.

You can get help to reconnect with the community and re-build your life through crisis and transitional support and a range of related support services.

They are part of Victoria’s integrated homelessness and housing support system which is designed as a progressive pathway out of homelessness.

Do I need a referral?

All referrals to our supported accommodation programs come through Barwon Opening Doors and you will need to contact them (details above) to make an appointment to discuss your situation.
