2012/13 has welcomed proposed changes to the Specialist Homelessness Service sector with the Victorian government identifying the need to restructure service delivery approaches. With a focus on improving the delivery of sustainable outcomes for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, a number of major strategic reforms to the delivery of human services in Victoria are underway. Within this context, SCWS has concentrated on how best to place our service to respond to impending reforms, enhance current service delivery and develop innovative responses to the challenges of system reform.

All employees of this program are Family Violence trained.

We actively participate in a number of initiatives including Opening Doors, A Place To Call Home, Creating Connections, Integrated Family Violence Service Network and the G21 Freedom From Violence Action Group to achieve this vision. We also work closely with other service providers within the local service networks to improve outcomes for families and individuals and improve access to a range of support options.
